Corruption Schemes

Corruption includes the following schemes:

Corruption in international development projects most often appears as the payment of bribes and kickbacks or hidden financial interests in suppliers, contractors or subcontractors by project or government officials.

Corruption often leads to some form of bid rigging in order to improperly steer contracts to the bribe payer andĀ eliminate competitors, and ultimately fraudĀ  as the bribe payer seeks to recover the cost of the bribes and to exploit the corrupt relationship.
